Fee Structure
At Gravitas Education we have two options to choose from
At the Community-based Learning Centre
Your child can join us at the Community-based Learning Centre @ Ruimte Learning Centre, located at 96 Mills Street, Strand.
Benefits of attending the Community-based Learning Centre:

- Spacious Work desks to work from
- Daily nutritious lunch (aftercare and full-day)
- Friday learning activities or excursions
- Annual stage production or talent show
- Twice a year learning phase exit exams (CAPS Curriculum)
For either half-a-day or a full-day option, which includes the aftercare facilities in the full-day fee. It is a month-to-month annual fee paid over 12 months.
A nutritiously balanced lunch is included for the full-day option. The lunch servings are on a rotational menu that changes from week-to-week.
Fridays are reserved for learning activities and outdoor excursions. There is NO official school homework. We do however encourage the learner to do extra reading, catching up on incomplete lessons (reassignments) and to do applied learning activities at home.
The full-day option includes aftercare, includes lunch after which there is supervised play within our spacious playground at Ruimte Learning Centre in Strand.

Working online from your own Home
Alternatively, your home-education child may join us daily from home, via the internet.
We will monitor their daily learning progress when they login during school working hours (08:00 - 14:00). We will communicate with them online via the in-system messaging function. And we will send you a monthly progress report (which is generated by the learning system as a PDF document).
They will also be given an end-of-term online benchmark test for both Math and Language to check their level of understanding, as well as a quiz test in Science and Social Studies. An term report that includes the results of the benchmark and quiz tests will be sent to you (a learning system generated PDF report document) which you may keep as a record of their at home education. All this is included in the monthly subscription fee.
There will also be periodical online video-call meetings with you as parent and your child to discuss their progress and to answer education related questions.
